What is accreditation?

Accreditation means acknowledging. The accreditation is what a person in the system is entitled to. For example: An ‘all access’ wristband is awarded to someone from the organization on the day of the event. This has been entered into the system beforehand. This person has an ‘all access’ wristband as accreditation.

Accreditation category
Examples of accreditation categories are:
– Wristbands
– Catering
– Machinery
– Parking ticket

Accreditation item
An accreditation item is an item within an accreditation category. For example:
Wristbands: all access / backstage / artist / crew
Machinery: ladder / forklift / manitou
Parking tickets: crew parking / artist parking / VIP parking

How do you add accreditations?
Adding accreditations can be done in two ways. If you want to add categories or items that you expect to use at other events in the future, you can add them via the Launchpad settings. That way they are in your general settings and you can always use them.
If you want to add categories or items that will only apply to a specific event, you can add them within the event.

If you want to read more about adding items via the Launchpad, you can do that here.
